It's a fairly new book I believe, I read the blurb the other day and decided against downloading but now I want to read it and no amount of Google searching brings it up.
It's about a woman who is kidnapped and put in a room, this has happened to other woman they are released after a few days (I think) and they never meet their kidnapper
It's about secrets and their was an extract with a police officer in the blurb as well
Please help

Where did you read the blurb? If it was on Amazon it might be in your browsing history on the site. Or what made you read the blurb - will that bring you back to it?

Is it The Locked Room by Elly Griffith? It's the newest book in the Ruth Galloway series

Fruitloopcowabunga · 02/03/2022 12:45

It sounds a bit like Elly Griffiths - The Locked Room, the latest in her Ruth Galloway series. But not the bit about never meeting the kidnapper - are you sure about that?

PineappleWilson · 02/03/2022 12:49

Could you look in your internet history?

drivepot · 02/03/2022 12:49

Just looked up the locked room
It's not that unfortunately :( I get recommendations through iBooks and Amazon so it's was either of those I saw it on but I've been searching for a book to read so have read loads of blurbs over the last day or two

ooh, if it is this, Elly Griffith is really good (have read loads of the previous Ruth Galloway books)

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 02/03/2022 12:54

Both of you by Adele Parks?

ShirleyPhallus · 02/03/2022 12:55

Is it Rachel Abbott, Come A Little Closer?

drivepot · 02/03/2022 12:57

Not both of you but I did read that blurb I've just found 'tell me your secret' Dorothy koomson and I've mix up the police officer bit in the blurb I believe
But it's a book that's a long the lines of these Authors and would of been in the same section when I was reading through blurbs

Have you gone through your browser history?

romanziere · 02/03/2022 13:04

Could it be Dear Amy by Helen Callaghan? I read it recently and although I can't remember every detail, this was pretty much the plot.

Luckingfovely · 02/03/2022 13:07

I don't know what it is, but it sounds interesting, and I hope you find it and let us know! Grin

drivepot · 02/03/2022 13:14

I've found it!! Scrolled through so many books on the kindle app, I'll be adding them to list in future Grin
It's called 10 days by mel sherratt
Thank you for all the suggestions

If anyone decides to give the book a go it's a hard read
I will finish it but I'm not liking it at all
It involves abuse and children
Anyone have any recommendations of physiological thriller books but doesn't focus on abuse? I've read 'the widow' by k.l slater recently and that was really good
