Posting here for traffic.

So DD was sick a few hours ago. But there was no smell. She was also sick again a few mins ago. Again no smell.

Why is that? Surely it always smells horrid?

I’m worried a bit as just before she’d been sick the first time, my husband had not long come to bed and when checking on her, she stired and asked for a drink. So he gave her one from my bedside table thinking it was fresh, but it was actually one I’d liberated from the tenagers’s room earlier that evening that they’d had in there for about a week or so.

Could that make her vomit twice? A few hours apart?

Why doesn’t it smell?

Initially I thought it was overindulgence of lotus spread on the pancakes as the first lot looked like that! Second lot, looked more like “proper” sick. But still no smell! No temp, no rash etc.

Paramedic here. Vomit doesn't always smell.

Thank you! We’ve not had a lot of vomit from the kids, and what we have had smelt! Thank you for reassuring me!

Too many pancakes. Fresh air and water will hopefully have her as right as rain.
Waggy finger at the stale water though.
Not at you OP 😉 💐

Yes! That’s my hope!

I know, bloody teens! I only picked it up on my way out as I could see it being knocked off the book shelf. And I was off to be doing myself as knackered!

How many times until they actually bring down the dirty crockery after they’ve used it?!

Assume you haven't got covid and have lost your sense of smell . .

Oh I’d didn’t think of that. Will test shortly. Mi did only have it for the second time at Xmas and I’m tripled jabbed! So I really hope not!

What’s tickled stomach?

Eyerollerhighroller · 02/03/2022 06:45

@ineedsun

What’s tickled stomach?
It means if you feel queasy easily eg if you don’t like talking about vomit.

My mum always used to say it to me. Maybe it was just peculiar to our household! As I’ve googled it and can’t see it!

Ooh, I call it sympathetic vomiting

NellePorter · 02/03/2022 06:50

No advice OP, sorry (hope your DD is OK), I was just curious about "tickled stomach" Smile

WhatILoved · 02/03/2022 06:55

It's milk/dairy that makes vomit smell I find

My daughter had a 24 hour vomiting bug a few weeks ago - was sick multiple times through the night and it had no smell at all.
