To find Matt Hancock's 'I love Gina' interview infuriating?

Matt Hancock has been interviewed on the Diary of a CEO YouTube channel.

Goes on about how much he and Gina are in love, how he couldn't help falling in love and how 'we have 6 children'. I'd be fuming if I was his (I assume soon to be) ex wife. Anyone else find it nauseating?

I saw the headline and cringed for him. Maybe he feels like he needs to justify himself after he was outed as a cheating scumbag with no respect for his wife or the general public involved in such a big scandal.

He's really misread public mood on this. Even if he had been a bit more apologetic and admitted to being awful to his wife, he might have been able to crawl back one day. But he doesn't care how he comes across. Clearly has plenty of work lined up with the cronies he's given favour to once he gets ousted as an MP.

Why didn't these two get together when they were at university? Did Gina give him the cold shoulder because he wasn't so good a prospect then?

I don’t think it would have been anywhere near as bad if they’d both got divorced first and then started a relationship. The public scandal for those kids (and their partners) to have had to endure was totally unnecessary.
