To not know what's causing this rash

Daughter (5) was in hospital last week and needed a drip as she had a bad case of gastroenteritis and couldn't keep and fluids down. She was given the drip and also some glucose gel stuff as her blood sugars were low.
She's back home now but since being out of the hospital she keeps getting a rash every time she eats, it comes up on her face, neck and hands. It only comes up when she eats. She's never had any food allergies or anything. I feel like it has to be related to her being ill last week as it's never happened before, does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Also I should mention it happens with everything she eats not just certain foods

Ask your gp? But yes if her immune system has been shot to pieces, she could be reacting to food

What sort of rash? Little red spots… itchy … white flat spots … red skin?

Ask the GP

It's just patches of red skin, she sometimes says they itch but not every time. I'll try and post a photo

It's like this on her cheeks, neck and hands

I wouldn't have called that a rash. I'd just say she looks "a bit flushed". Though perhaps the photo doesn't do it justice.

Post viral rash? Have they ruled out covid?
