To ask why when I have the money...I never want what I longed for when I didn't have the money!

So I specifically saved 2k to sort out my spring wardrobe.

I had lots of ideas and items that I had my eye in but know that I can purchase them, I'm thinking "meh...i don't know if I want those boots" etc...

I just can't commit now, I feel like I have taken the fun out of it! Anyone else do this??

Oh this is me! I go out with no money and see lots of things I want, I go to spend and nada…

I think because when it's actually money of course apply more scrutiny to the purchase. When I don't have the money for example there's lots of stuff I think I'd buy, but if I actually had to consider it as an actual purchase I wouldn't like it enough probably.

I find I’m more reluctant to spend money I actually have too!

@GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing I would have had it I suppose but I normally just buy one thing at a time as I go. This time I thought I'll do it at once and really think about the outfits...but I can't do it and i can't spend it like you say. It's driving me nuts! I think I'm overthinking 🙈🤣

It's weird isn't it ! Maybe go shopping but pretend you haven't got any money then you will see things you want 😀Not on the same scale but I got given £150 2 weeks ago to treat myself I thought 'great I will can't wait to go shopping ' it's still in the bedside cabinet .

When I didn’t have any money, I invariably saw so many things in the shops that I’d have loved to buy.

Now I’m rather more comfortably off, I go shopping and can’t find a bloody thing I like.
Or if I ever do, they don’t have it in my size.

@GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER yes I don't what is wrong with me (other than having a bit more weight on this spring which bothers my confidence!) I am lucky to be very comfortable, I feel like allocating them funds has taken the fun out of it @pumpkinpie01 I'm thinking I may have to try this 🙈
