Hi all,

My mum was recently recalled after her mammogram and is in her follow up appointment now. Been told problem with left breast, no more information. So worried.

Deep breath, try to take it one step at a time - it serves no one, including you - to panic right now. You don't know what you don't know.

Sending hugs, it's a horrible feeling Flowers

Support is what your mum needs. I’ve just been through the process and now post treatment. It’s a difficult journey under normal circumstances but during the pandemic it’s bloody aweful. It’s ok to be upset and show emotion but it’s your job to support and listen.
The majority of call backs are just that and cancer is not diagnosed. There are some good support groups on Facebook when and if your mum is ready or you can join if you need questions answered.
Breast cancer is not an automatic death sentence and nearly all of us will live a long and happy life post treatment.
I know when my mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer 26yrs ago even then breast cancer would have been 100% better and my mum would probably still be with us.
My sister was diagnosed at 32 with aggressive breast cancer and is now 20 yrs cancer free this year.
Treatment can be tough but there is no alternative. Stay away from Dr Google and trust the breast care team, they are brilliant and will look after her.
