Love mine. It has the dining table in there. Was used as a playroom also when my daughter was younger. Now has my drinks cabinet in. Yes it can be cold in Winter but I have 2 heaters. I prefer sitting in there from April onwards as it leads to the garden. It is closed off from the rest of the house by my old french doors.

Always wanted one.
We do use ours as part of the house but it needs managing year round : windows, blinds, fan(s!), underfloor heating, fan heater etc

We accept the cost of heating it... Turning on the underfloor heating is a bit like heating it by making a bonfire of £20 notes (lighthearted).

I WOULD NOT build one now. Global warming makes them impractical.

During hot summers I pity people with bifold doors and no blinds too.

We have had one that was on the house when we bought it 20 odd years ago. Didn't use it much, a bit if storage and had a crosstrainer in it. The plastic roof leaked, half the double glazed units had blown, too cold to sit in on the winter, very hot in the summer. Last year, we replaced all the glass and plastic walls and had an insulated, tiled roof put on, plastered the walls and ceiling. Now we use it every day. We have a leccy radiator on a programmer to keep it warm, it is a very nice extra room. In fact, I am sat in it now with a cuppa watching some crap on Netflix.

I used to have one, it was awful. Freezing and un-useable in the winter, too hot to sit in in the summer. I hate them!

We moved to a house with one last September. I was only able to use it for about 6 weeks before I froze (had my desk out there). I could see my breath. It needs a new roof, windows and blinds. I’m very wary of how hot it will be in the summer, that said it was lovely in September.
