I am a fairly normal sized mum - 5ft 4 but I have an enormous husband and 3 enormous DS. They are not overweight just tall and solid. The older 2 are 6 and 4 so obviously I'm not carrying them!! But the cumulative effect of three large children- hefting them in and out of cars etc has done my shoulder in. Finally got a physio appointment today and they said if I don't rest the shoulder I'm in danger of nerve damage. I have a constant 'dead arm' feeling and get pins and needles down my arm and little finger. This will improve with rest heat and physio I have been told but I need to work out better ways to deal with the kids.
My youngest has just turned 2 and is the biggest of them all!! 10lbs 10oz at birth and is 99.8th centile for height and weight. Currently 16.5kg He's in 3-4 clothes. We have reins and I'm not embarrassed to use them- have done for all
mine. He's a runner and obviously....2!!
Is is possible to not carry/pick him up? What alternatives do I have? Any tips? Is Reins my only option? He will go in buggy obviously but it's more the short school/nursery runs where he is in and out of car etc that I don't know how best to manage??
AIBU to think it's possible not to carry a 2 yr old??
Thanks!!
