Sorry I'm posting for traffic. I have severe health anxiety.
My 2 year old had quite a lot of fibre over the weekend and on Sunday night had really mucussy poos.

He didn't have a BM yesterday but was chewing his finger all night and had quite red cheeks.
He's had a poo today which was normal soft, then a mucussy one after his evening meal, then followed through with another dollop of mucus afterwards.

I don't know whether it's teething or not, he chewed a big chunk off his straw on Saturday, but he's okay in himself and is eating and drinking normally. I'm really worried he could have a bug but we haven't really been out at all. Any advice on what it could be? Thanks

Sounds like teething poos to me. Do they smell horrendous, like vinegar?

They smell like sour eggs and raw sewage! I don't think he has a bug at all but his mouth looks really wet, and he's been moving his mouth quite abit as though something new is there, a tooth I.e

My toddler’s bowels change from day to day depending on what he’s eaten, what he’s shoved in his mouth at nursery, whether he’s teething, had Calpol etc. Don’t worry unless it’s sustained, he is struggling or is constipated for a few days.

Are you getting support for your health anxiety? You’re obsessing about this and that’s disproportionate and speaking from experience, feeling like this sucks the joy out of everything.
