Help with Man United Official store

Hi I am asking for help here please? Normally a very calm person and can fight my battles quiet calmly and assertively, but currently in a row with Man United official store on line. For context am based in Ireland and not normally a lover of name and shame on social media but in this case want to shout it out from the roof top. Was willing to pay customs too if there was any
On the 3rd November i bought a personalized baby man united kit from the official Man United store for a colleague whose wife just had a baby

All the team chipped in a few bob and i ordered it on their behalf
I got a tracking number, but it wasn't showing much information and by the end of November still no sign of it
i sent a few emails with no reply and after a few unanswered calls finally got through to someone
She said it had been returned as no postcode ( even though i was sure i added it - Here in Ireland we have only recently got postcodes so they are still new to us, however it never stops couriers or post being delivered) So i gave i to her and she said it would be posted out again
However, i got no notification that it shipped, even after sending numerous emails, one i as told that it was being picked and that it would be sent to me shortly

i kept ringing and emailing in Jan with still no luck
So finally, i emailed them yesterday with a complaint asking for my money back as it's been nearly 5 months of no sign of my order

This is one of the response i got - now every time i replied yesterday a different person answered - This was not what i was told when i rang the end of November

"Please note when you place an order online you are responsible for checking and amending any details on the order: as you have entered in an incomplete address , we will not be liable if this order gets lost in transit.

If this order gets returned back to us undelivered we will then attempt to re-dispatch out this order to the correct address, and you will be charged for shipping it back out. It can take 28 working days for orders to be returned to us.

I kept replying that this is not acceptable as no one can tell me where my order is or when will i get it and am being told different information each time i ring and email. I would like my money back - Now i am being told as it's a personalized item it cant be refunded
I am so shocked at this service, is it really acceptable to accept this as good customer service? I bought it from the official man u store to ensure i get the proper jersey and it wasn't cheap
On reading the google reviews ( wish i had of before i ordered it) it shows i am not unique in this situation however i don't know what else to do to get my money back ? Has anyone else experienced this ? i am also not on twitter . It cost 80e plus postage

Should have gone to Man City 😉

Sorry no advice other than to take to SM.
I get the bit about not refunding for personalised items but thats surely if you change your mind/order wrong size.
Sounds like they can't tell you what has even happened to it or when which is completely rubbish

Just seen you don't have Twitter but surely you can install it and set up an account?
The amount of times I've seen companies immediately react when tagged into a tweet of someone complaining

OK will try that. I have no problem accepting that is was personalised if they could have given me a tracking or told me where it was the numerous times emailed or rang but they didn't. but the fact its going in 5 months now it getting a bit of a joke

Not been in that situation myself, but surely if you don't want to set up a social media account someone else could do it (perhaps even the mum of the baby)?

Wexone · 22/02/2022 18:34

don't no the mother of the baby. it was a male colleague and he is a huge man u fan so thought it would have been a nice present.

I have paid by Paypal - so i have raised a complaint through them. You cant message them on Twitter so my partner set up an account and tweeted it for me
