To Ask If You Had a Breast Lift with Augmentation?

I had one 5 weeks ago and am still in daily agony. I know this was a voluntary thing but they are killing me. So very sore to touch, hurt when I move, 'prickly' IYKWIM and I cannot lie down so am sleeping upright like the elephant man.

My surgeon has said they're healing nicely and doesn't seem fussed.

Has anyone had a similar experience? When did you get to enjoy them? Are you pleased you had this surgery? How long was your recovery? Until you were completely free of pain?

I've spent the last 5 weeks studying/job hunting whilst sitting all day. Im rapidly gaining weight and have a sore arse!!

I recently had a lumpectomy to remove breast cancer. I had therauputic mammoplasty which lifted the breast using round block technique ( incision round the nipple and internal stitching to fix everything). It was and still is uncomfortable. I was given lists of physio exercises to help with post op pain and cording.
Maybe you need to ask your surgeon for physio referral.
Many women who have mastectomies have reconstruction with implants. Perhaps have a look at support sites for reconstruction, which is far more complex that augmentation to see what post physio they suggest. I know my DSis had to do physio after her rebuild.
To be honest my surgery was fairly minor compared to hers, but I wouldn’t recommend breast surgery to anyone unless necessary, it’s not pleasant.
Recovery can take a long time.

Also have you tried the heart shaped pillows made for mastectomy patients. Most thoroughly recommend them to help sleeping on your side.

Angrymum22 - Im very sorry to hear what you've gone through. . .I really am.

When did you have your surgery?

Best wishes with your recovery Flowers
