Search engines, internet service providers, websites make big money. If I choose to accuse my neighbour for example in name of some heinous crime or act he or she hasn't committed and the effect could have a catastrophically negative on their life, shouldn't a moderator stop this going live to the world before it happens...

And if the financial effect is we have less forums, them so be it...

If people want to be stupid enough to post identifying things then so be it

We don't need more moderators

gamerchick · 21/02/2022 21:28

You want a pre moderated forum? They're a massive pain in the arse.

phishy · 21/02/2022 21:28

Focus on the job hunt, OP, let the big money makers worry about themselves.

NewIdeasToday · 21/02/2022 21:34

Just leave social media if it doesn’t suit you. No need for more moderation if people are sensible and step away when necessary.

Chishnfips · 21/02/2022 21:41

We don't need another daily mail.

SilverHairedCat · 21/02/2022 21:55

Why yes, all the people who set up a Facebook group for, say, local single mums to meet up or to share tips about budgeting should be legally liable when some utter tosser starts to slag someone off online.

Not.
