I could have sworn purple Radox bath stuff used to smell ok?

Bought some for the first time in years and it smells grim. Like toilet cleaner.

Was it always this horrific or have they "improved" it somewhere along the lines?

I don't know about the purple one but the red one 'muscle relax' doesn't seem to smell as strong as it use to but that may just be because i use it often so don't notice the smell as much now

Radox is vile stuff.
DH won't use it now, last time he came out in a rash everywhere and it was my fault for treating him to something nice not buying own-brand supermarket cheepo stuff. 🤦‍♀️

That's another thing, it comes out the bottle like lumps of jelly.
It doesn't 'pour' at all.

I bought some before Christmas and it has definitely changed. The smell also lingered in the bathroom for a day or so after one bath!

Radox is rank. It all smells like toilet cleaner.

Yep, I bought the green rosemary and eucalyptus one a few weeks ago. Jelly lumps and smells like toilet cleaner - check.

I used dh’s a couple of years ago and when I got close to the bubbles they’d make me cough. He doesn’t buy it anymore.

So did I. The next one was normal and the rest after that all did the jelly flop.

And my bath is nowhere near as red.

The purple was is another level though.
I want to try a different make but I hate the smell of all 'cream' ones.

Palmolive’s gone a bit weird too. The milk and honey shower wash is now white, rather than yellow, and it’s another one for coming out in ‘jelly lumps’ where it used to be smooth. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I quite like the superdrug moisturing vitamin E bath soak. Think it does make you feel softer..

I maintain that the best bubble bath is the pink mermaid Matey Bath. We rarely buy it now as we try and keep the bathroom plastic free but gosh I miss it!

The green one is definitely like the pine toilet cleaner, terrible! They're very synthetic. The only one I tolerate is the blue one, otherwise I avoid Radox completely. Shower gels are useless too, I never feel fresh for the day for more than a couple of hours, if that.

Agree re Palmolive too, they've cheapened their products here after Brexit.

Ah the jelly like consistency, I also thought I'd bought an iffy bottle. I won't be buying it again.
