Sunday morning stresses. Been invited for a sunday playdate - dont know the parents all that well but seem nice. Th only snag is am not sure whether they would expect just myself and DC or DH plus myself and DC to arrive.MN hive mind how would you double check without sounding weird? Or would it always be epxected that it's just the mum plus child. Our kids are three years old so parents are definitely still expected to stick around. English is not my first language so am not always good at knowing which particular phrase to use

Definitely not husband too!

Violetmo0n · 20/02/2022 10:11

I would say just you and child.

Is it at their house?

AFS1 · 20/02/2022 10:13

I would assume that it’s just you and your 3 yr old invited. I wouldn’t expect your husband to turn up too.

One parent and child

Hibiscusroses · 20/02/2022 10:13

Just you and the invited child. Do not take DH and any other children

yhbbjli · 20/02/2022 10:20

Ok, thanks. They did say 'we're all welcome' which made be a bit confused plus we'd have to drive so it's not quite like popping around the corner

Can you be direct? Just text and say "is it a girly coffee or are husbands joining too?"

yhbbjli · 20/02/2022 10:33

Ok, thanks, that might work
