I think my friend is depressed.
A lot has happened in the last few years. Redundancy from a job she loved, 2 chronic illnesses and then her boss dying suddenly (She was a nanny to her little girl).
She got back on her feet by getting another nanny job but after a year it ended badly and didn't get to say goodbye to the kids who despite everything she loved. That was at Christmas just gone and although she now does some supply nursery work, she hates it and is treated badly. She is looking for another nanny job but doesn't drive and has as I said, health issues so there are obstacles there. She no longer replies to my texts when I suggest going out and just seems really sad. It's been a few months now and was hoping she would have forgotten about the nanny family as they most definitely would not even be thinking about her at this point but she is still as sad as ever.
Aibu to not know what to do here or what to suggest?

That does sound concerning, I’d suggest she sees her GP re depression,

Is she be treated to manage the chronic health issues? Do they prevent her learning to drive? - it’s hard to get a nanny job if you don’t.
