I use suppositories and cream. Both available at the supermarket. Eat plenty of high fibre food and drink water so you don’t get constipated. If they are very painful see your GP.

Have you seen a doctor, they can prescribe suppositories and cream or you can get milder treatments from a pharmacy. Are you pregnant or know why they have suddenly appeared. You need to drink plent of liquids, eat fibre, not strain on the loo and become constipated. Wipe your poor bum gently, wash with warm water and a soft wipe and pat dry with a soft towel, dont rub your bottom. Sitting in a warm bath can ease the pain and some people will come along with other suggestions, some people add something to the bath but I just use plain water with a few drops of lavender oil.

All bran breakfast cereal worked for me. I ate a bowl for 2 weeks before I noticed an improvement

Thanks everyone Smile
No idea how it’s happened as I don’t remember being particularly constipated recently (sorry TMI!) I’m also not pregnant so obviously I just got lucky Grin

Haven’t seen the doctor as it’s only just appeared….it’s bloody sore so will be calling the doctor Monday if no better.
Will try a warm bath and send DH down to the shop to get some cream x

After having my third baby I had them really bad (was like giving birth again!) The doctor gave me suppositories that worked brilliantly, and I used over the counter cream.

I had haemorrhoids for the first time last year and Christ, I didn’t realise how painful it could be!

I didn’t see the doctor though. I used anusol cream and toilet wipes, and had Epsom salt baths. I can’t tell you how huge a difference that made, especially the Epsom baths. Using all three stopped the pain more or less immediately 👍🏼

I had them when I was pregnant and my top tip is keep the suppositories in the fridge. Its bliss.
