Apple Pay ‘cards updating’ - please help!

I use Apple Pay on my phone a lot, and sometimes don’t use my actual bank cards as I’ve got so used to just paying via Apple Pay.

Tried to use Apple Pay last night, and I got an alert on my phone saying my cards were updating so I couldn’t use them.

Tried to use Apple Pay this morning, and again the same thing happened as my cards are still updating.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on how I can sort this please? Thanks!

I found this on the Apple Support pages via a quick Google -

It is a hardware issue. If you have tried rebooting the phone and the error persists, take the phone to an Apple Store, have them run a diagnostic and they will replace the phone if the issue is found at the hardware level.
