Sat next to boyfriend last night and he is on Facebook liking womens pictures!!!

He is liking gothic images of women in his Facebook feed, sometimes showing them to me…some of them highly sexualised, I’m getting pissed off really. This morning I’m really irritated with him. It doesn’t help he has snored all night and I’m knackered now. I said do you have to do this in front of me it’s not nice really.

Am I overreacting?

That's weird behaviour. How long have you been with him? How did he react when you raised this with him?

I wouldn't want to be with someone like that. That's really disrespectful and strange that he's sat next to you and liking women's pictures. There are better guys out there who don't behave like this.

I know he likes that kind of fantasy scene. I’m absolutely nothing like a goth at all. I don’t care what he looks at when I’m not there but it’s really irritating me doing it in front of me. Don’t think I’d ever dream of liking pics of men and showing him, it is odd.

I briefly dated someone like that: we would be having a meal together or be with a group of friend and he would regularly check his social media feed, mostly looking at women with Gothy/fetishy type looks. Got rid of him very quickly...

Yeah I’m not bothered about what floats his boat but showing it to me and saying things like that’s a bit too extreme don’t you think is too much for me. Especially as I don’t care for the goth scene and especially as I don’t fancy women.

It’s hard on these forums because you only talk about the problems. He is in many ways a really great guy and has so many positive attributes and I love him very much. I’ve offered to dress up so he can live his fantasy a little, I’m not bothered by that as we all have fantasies..

What I don’t understand is why is he not bothered by showing me these images of women? I wouldn’t show him images of men and ask opinions.

That’s because he has normalised it. He does it so often his boundaries are skewed.

I'd be ditching a guy that's only interested in how people look, certainly who was sitting there getting his letch on rather than having a conversation with me. Yuck.

He wasn’t just looking at women it was Facebook wall so whatever crap was on there including goth women which for some reason he showed me and gave them a like.

Sounds like scintillating company. Is there anything more boring than people who insist on showing you what they're looking at on their phones.
