One of my colleagues was found dead at work and its cast a shadow over everything all I feel is great sadness whenever I walk in like a sense of doom hanging over the place I'm so upset as well as other staff as she was part of the family and was with us a long time full of life and very caring it's shook us to the core.

It wasn't suspicious circumstances she did have a medical condition but this was totally unexpected and she couldn't be saved despite efforts of the staff she was 32 years of age.

She actually died in the workplace in the dining room she was a good friend to us all and a valued member of the team.

Oh goodness, that must’ve been such a shock to you all. I’m sure you will be able to offer each other support but I guess it will take a while for things to feel normal again. Has your employer offered any kind of counselling? X

That is so sad. It will make an impact for sure. She was very young. Poor lady and her family and many condolences to you, her work family.

No wonder you’re feeling so sad. What a horrible thing to happen. Your poor colleague 😞

Oh that is awful, I am so sorry. And yes, I would feel weird going in after that. It will get better but it sounds like you are not the only one feeling that way, maybe you and your colleagues can grieve together, or maybe plant a tree outside for her? We did that when a colleague died in the 7/7 attack and it has been good to see it flourish.

TrashyPanda · 18/02/2022 17:11

I’m afraid this happened at least three times during my working life in a large organisation of over 900 staff in one building.

It’s a huge shock to everyone. Our staff were offered counselling that same day.

Poor lady.

Tevion28 · 18/02/2022 17:11

The company has offered counselling but we are mostly leaning on each other.

We are a small team of 10 staff it's hit really hard and we are reminded of her everytime we walk into the dining area.

You all absolutely need group counselling after an event like this not individual counselling
