worried about driving tomorrow?

I am due to work tomorrow, 8am - 2pm, an hour commute by car. Living in London. Although we aren’t in a red area, I am worried about the journey, flying debris etc. WIBU to cancel work, despite only being in an amber area?

I can catch up my hours next week if I took it off tomorrow, manager is very reasonable and has suggested this previously if we have emergencies etc, but I am not sure if I am being over cautious.

For goodness sake take the time off. There will be fatalities tomorrow sadly. Not many, but one is too many especially if it was a non essential journey.

You live in London, starting at 8am. Use public transport, let your boss know you are doing so in case it takes longer than expected.

Can you work from home? We had an amber warning yesterday and it never occurred to me not to go in work! Although I don’t think it ended up being as bad as was forecast.

If you're allowed to take holiday at short notice then yeah why not. Better than stressing about it.

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately I cannot take public transport or WFH. I’m a fairly anxious person so I’m not sure if I’m being swept up in all of the scary news or if I actually have something ti worry about Confused

Storms kill people that's why they put out warnings
