I just struggle making any kind of decision when it comes to my kids in particular. Can you give me advice on how you go about making decision in your own life and how do you know it’s the right one?

First find out all the facts. Consider any risks of the decision one way or another. Consider the possible outcomes, both positive and negative.

I follow Sheryl Crows advice.."if it makes you happy, it can't be that bad"!

In other words, I follow my heart I suppose. I do what "feels" right. I don't care about my kids being rich or "successful" in the usual sense - I want them to be happy and fulfilled so decisions surrounding them tend to go along with this mindset.
