We’ve noticed a dent and scratch on our car. We bought it second hand last weekend and it’s had one trip out to sainsburys. It must have happened whilst it was parked in sainsburys. In the absence of sainsburys having cctv (they didn’t) there’s nothing else I can do is there?

Sorry. That was a bit brusque. Basically. If you can't even be sure when or where it happened in afraid you'll just have to live with it. If possible try and push the dent out gently now - the longer you leave it the more the dent will 'set' (or so I'm informed by others more versed in all things car). Then see if there's a sent a nd scratch mobile repair business who'll come to you. They're usually very good and not too expensive

Thank you. I know where it happened as the car has only been to one place since we’ve had it and the rest of the time it’s parked off road at home. So I know the day it happened and time as it’s only been to one place x

Sainsburys won't let you watch their CCTV and they'll almost certainly say it's on a part of their car park not covered by CCTV or that they don't have access to cameras. They're pretty shit.

Many supermarket car parks aren't operated by them but by a parking company.

Maybe the parking company would be able to help?
