Fake NHS website scam

Warning to everyone
I previously used to get texts claiming that I had missed a delivery, clicking on the link only to be asked for my card details. Obviously never put anything in.
A new one now is getting texts that say you have been in contact with someone with omicron and If you click the link you get taken to a very convincing NHS website asking you to book a PCR test and surprise surprise! They want your card details!
Just giving everyone the heads up as I haven’t see n it reported.

Thanks. I got one of these yesterday and blocked the number.

My 85 year old dad had one this morning. They only wanted a small payment. He didn't do it, but it could easily be mistaken for postage or a little admin fee by someone who was too trusting...

Thanks
Was hoping to get more responses so that more people know about this.

My mum got this too. It was only when she read the text out to me I thought it sounded dodgy, so I asked for a screenshot and lo and behold, it was nothing like the text I got when I was a close contact

Wynwoodwalls · 17/02/2022 22:42

I had this too but the dodgy grammar and misspelling of variant gave the game away

Pixiedust1234 · 17/02/2022 22:44

Thanks for posting a warning. Not heard of this particular one yet.

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 17/02/2022 23:19

Yes I had this last week! Scratched my head over it for a minute then realised that of course it was a scam.

iheartmybeachhut · 18/02/2022 00:08

Thanks for the warning.

Rubyupbeat · 18/02/2022 02:54

Thank you, I got 2 of these texts yesterday.
