Am I?

Posting for traffic - be kind.

I am going out of my mind with worry. I had unprotected sex on day 9 of my cycle which is 27-29 days regular. Day 10 I took the MAP. Five days later I had light watery bleeding for a few days. Now 47 days later I still haven't had a proper period. I have done two pregnancy tests yesterday and the day before. Am I right in thinking that there is no way I could be pregnant - they were both negative? Anyone wiser than me please help

Stress can delay your period. Do another test to be absolutely sure. Then try and relax, oh and get an Sti check?

Beachsidesunset · 16/02/2022 18:31

Have you have a Covid jab? They're now known to affect cycles.

roadtoruin · 16/02/2022 18:56

I will definitely get an STI test. Can't believe how stupid I was. Had a covid Jab before Xmas and period was in time in Jan so not sure that was it...

It's much more likely the MAP affected your cycle than the covid jab Hmm
You could be pregnant but it's highly, highly unlikely.

ThirdElephant · 16/02/2022 19:07

Yeah, sounds like the MAP messed up your cycles.

RandomMess · 16/02/2022 19:09

Put it this way when I took the MAP and I was pregnant then the pregnancy tests were positive very soon after and I had no period or bleeding or discharge of any sort!

Starcrossed2 · 16/02/2022 19:31

Sounds like its stopped you ovulating and then your body hasn't twigged on to try and ovulate again. It'll happen though, probably next week as if you've just skipped an entire cycle

Hi OP, sounds very stressful but HPT are very accurate these days.
You can phone your GP / sexual health clinic and request a blood test to check HCG levels which would be even more accurate and put your mind at rest.

Thank you all, appreciate this. Feeling horrendously anxious which probably isn't helping .
