Not an AIBU, posting for traffic.

I seem to be having issues interpreting what people are saying. They could be speaking clear plain English and the words just come at me jumbled up and sometimes it takes me a while to understand the meaning of what has been said. This has been the case since I was a teenager (at least, when I became aware of the issue) so it's not new, but I'm starting to get frustrated with it as it's affecting my work and social life. It's embarrassing having to ask people to repeat themselves when I don't know what they've just said so gave up on socialising years ago as I find it too stressful. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds more like aphasia/dysphasia?
