To ask how best to store dangly earrings?

Does anyone have a good solution for this?
My jewellery box has 2 compartments, my hooked earrings are roughly divided between them with 20 odd pairs in each section they just get all tangled up and I can spend ages fishing out the other half of a pair from amongst the jumble.
Does anyone have an earrings storage thing that separates pairs and stops the tangle but doesn't take up a ton of space?

You can get boxes with loads of earring compartments.

Thanks @afaloren I've not seen those before, will have a look.

I've only really seen vertical stands before but I don't really want to use a stand where they are all just on display. They aren't expensive but my kids are like magpies and they won't be able to resist fiddling if they are sitting on the dressing table in full view!

This works well. It spins.

Just seen your update. It might not work for you then.

I use a repurposed large flat Ferrero rocher box - each choc has its own little compartment!

I have a stand a bit like the one pictures above. I really like it and looks rather pretty on the dressing table with all the different earrings hanging off it. Mine has solid bits with holes that you can put studs through too

Fishing tackle boxes or boxes for jewellery making are excellent. Try Amazon. I don't want mine on display either, acting as dust-catchers!

I bought a load of small organza bags (like you might getting wedding sugared almonds in) from Amazon, and put a pair of earrings in each. They can all go in a single large compartment of a jewellery box without getting tangled, and the bags are see through enough to find which ones I need without too much trouble.

This sort of thing.

I have an earring book as someone else suggested. I don't have any particularly long ones but if I did I just wouldn't put a pair on the row below.

So handy as you can see exactly what you have and don't have to tip them all out to find a pair! I always just used to wear the same pair all the time before I got this!

If you wanted them on display you could hook them over the rim of a vintage wine glass or something similar.
