Feeling sick is the worst feeling

Feeling massively self-pitying! It's impossible to remember how horrible it is until it happens. I'm languishing in bed feeling queasy and can't imagine I'll ever want to eat again. Ever! And today is my wfh day so I don't even have an "excuse" not to work.

Working from home doesn't mean you can't take a sick day. I work from home and took Tuesday off.

Hope you feel better soon!

YANBU it’s horrible, but if you feel too unwell to work you can still call in sick even if you’re wfh

My workplace seem to think that the possibility of wfh means nobody ever needs to take a sick day ever again! I'm hoping I'll feel better in a bit. I've been sick all morning...but...hopefully it has stopped now fingers 🤞

Sure enough, they said, "oh, isn't it good that you're working from home today anyway?" But luckily I felt better by about 11.30 Smile

Glad you’re feeling better! You’re an adult you can still say “sorry but I’m not well enough to work today, even from home. If I feel well enough later/tomorrow I’ll let you know”

I know... they make it difficult though! One thing I hate about the whole "wfh if you're a bit under the weather" thing is that it's now almost an expectation that you will, unless you're literally half-dead!
