AIBU to worry about these hot flushes?

34 year old female. For a week now I’ve had hot flushes every evening… suddenly feel boiling hot in my upper body and have to strip off then I get the chills about five mins later. Have also had gurgling stomach, nausea and reflux. Wondering if this sounds like a stomach bug? No fever. Or if the two are unrelated and it’s menopausal? I have health anxiety so worry about everything but have never had hot flushes… well only a few times the day before my period and that finished 10 days ago.

I used to get hot flushes a lot in my thirties, I never knew the cause. Go to the doctor, they may do bloods.

Yes I think I will! I just wonder if because I feel nauseous too if it could be a bug?!

Sounds like it is a bug. The body does all sorts of funny things. Give it a week and if they’re still there just speak to the doctor.

Have you taken a covid test? Those were the symptoms I had.

My mum wasn’t until 50’s. It’s weird as the hot flush feeling is always in evening and just the same as the one I get the night before my period so feels hormonal!

I did two LFTs which are negative and haven’t really got the symptoms for a PCR.. just seems random. I did have a heart monitor implant a week ago yesterday but it looks perfectly fine and not infected so pretty sure it isn’t that either. It’s the acid rising up my throat, gurgling stomach and nausea that’s annoying! Fingers crossed it’s a bug and will subside.

I wondered maybe oat related as I switched to oat milk at the start of this but would it cause hot flushes?!

Did you find the cause for this?
