Every Sunday I leave some flowers at a wayside grave that local history says a mother buried all of her children when they died in the 1840s during The Great Hunger. I live in an isolated spot, usually see no one except farmers and tourists during the summer or the odd film crew from time to time.
Whilst taking the dog for a walk this evening I noticed the bunch of flowers are gone. Now it's been fairly windy and that's why I weighed them down under a rock yesterday and the rock has been rolled over to the other side of the patch of land. There's no cows nearby.
Am I getting paranoid or should I be worried that there's someone prowling around?
