Watching this programme while in Covid isolation. It’s so crassly funny and pretty accurate when it comes to my experience of all inclusive holidays.
Not sure it would stand the test of time now but wondered if anyone else watched.

I loved the programme and still love it now. I love a holiday like that but equally like other styles of holidays!

The characters are just cracking me up - it’s literally everything I experienced (or have done myself) 😂

Madge cracks me up. “It’s not my fault you’ve got no friends”

Love it!

It’s the acting quality too - really good cast with fab comedy skills

I thought it was a brilliant show, not so good towards the end as is usually the case but yeah, loved it

The bullfight scene with the dog and the juicer sale 😂

I loved it, binge watched the lot on Netflix and then it was taken iff..with 3 episodes to go.

This bit makes me howl with laughter every time I watch it!!

I love this show. Great characters and script. Felt the heart went out of it a bit when the main family left.

I was convinced that I was going to love it at the start but it felt like it went downhill pretty quickly after the first couple of series. The constantly shifting cast probably didn't help.

I love it. It is so funny. Donald and Jacqueline crack me up.

I liked the episode where Donald and Jacqueline got chatting to Sticky Vicky and ended up walking off with her
I also loved the teenage girl Chantelle with baby Coolio and her on/off romance with Johnny Vegas (Geoff).

I absolutely adore Benidorm! On paper, it's the sort of thing I should despise but it's just sooooo good!
I think it's perfectly cast and so well written, has me in stitches every episode.

I have never forgotten Kenneth, the very camp hotel hairdresser, wearing a t-shirt with the slogan Lord of the Ring.

The early ones are hilarious. As a PP said, it went downhill later on - over-reliant on ‘capers’ and stunt casting - but the first few series were great. I loved it when Janice used to prattle on about nothing and Mick would be looking about ready to snap

My 12 year old and her cousins all love it! She’s watched it several times and can recite whole pieces and we like watching it together!

Apparently she’s emailed ITV tonight to ask them to make more! She has a tendency to do things like that

We have a real life Madge living opposite us. She’s well into her 60’s, smokes like a chimney, skin like leather. She took a parcel in for us last summer, really hot day. I went over to collect it, she shouted she was in the back garden. I went round and she was lying out sun bathing in the teeniest tiny bikini. I didn’t know where to look! Lovely lady though.

A part that never fails to me me laugh:
Geoff: “You’re a dickhead!”
Mel: “You can’t talk to me like that, my father fell in Normandy”
Geoff: “I don’t care if he went arse over tit in Scunthorpe, you’re a dickhead”

I love it!! and I would love to stay at the hotel it was filmed at!!

I loved watching it and actually did stay in the hotel it was filmed at. Well the pool scenes were at our hotel, got in the lift with Donald but the rooms weren’t our hotel. Also stayed in a lovely hotel further out of the resort and used to walk past the studios where many of the cast were stood outside smoking. Even saw Madge and Mel’s wedding on the beach .

I loved Benidorm. Admittedly the final two series weren’t good. I saw the stage show which had 5 of the actors in, and it was amazing.
