last year i became ill with severe anxietty and deppression after losing both my parents within a six month period i had suffered from both on and off for several years but never as bad i started getting sicknotes from my dr in May then in November i was awarded ESA. My question is i have just had an appointment with jobcentre as i have to have an appointment every 3 months the advisor i spoke to today told me my ESA was set up for 17 months but i was under the impression the max anybody could be on it was a year at a time and in that year there would be a review to see if esa needed to be extended further so wondered if anybody who has been on esa could enlighten me about this

Also i have been put in the the work-related activity group which i forgot to mention in my first post so and was told that i would start getting £20 a month extra after being on esa for 4 months i wondered if this was correct

ESA contributory now so if you in work related activity group will only last for 12 months, no extra money for WRAG either. Can you appeal to get into support group (no time limit)
