Blackpool Sandcastle-appropriate swimwear advice

AlternativelyWired · 13/02/2022 11:09

I've never been but friends have had their swimwear damaged in the slides. Dd is 13 and needs new swimwear because her old one is too small and doesn't have anything to disguise any effects of the cold. She'd like something with padding or frills over her chest. What is the best type of swimwear to wear there to minimise the risk of losing it on the slides Male friend had his trunks pulled off by the force of the water so I'm thinking a two piece would not be wise!) so any advice would be gratefully received.

I’ve been loads of times and never known anyone lose their cozzie 😂

Most youngsters wear a bikini. I’m a chubby middle aged mum now so tend to wear a one piece or tankini but I’ve worn bikinis in my younger years. I’d probably avoid a string style, but that’s about it.

I think your mate may have had ill-fitting shorts on.

I've been lots of times, and none of us have ever lost our costumes.
I wear a swimming costume or tankini, dds, usually the same, though lots of people go in bikinis.
Guess just make sure it's well fitted and not baggy, less chance of losing it .

I've never heard of so many people wearing bikinis in a UK pool. Is it super tropical or something?

“Accidentally” had his trunks pulled off by the force of the water 🤔

Can she not wear board shorts over her costume or bikini?

I always swim in a bikini. Fits me better as I have a bigger chest and swimsuits are never long enough in the body as I'm tall

It’s not a “swimming” pool for swimming. It’s a leisure pool like centre parks. I saw lots of bikinis at centre parks.

I wore a bikini and never had a problem.
