Glass in pie

I made a cheese and potato pie thing last night …. Literally just mash potato topped with cheese and puff pastry.
This morning I had seconds for brekkie 😋 however found a piece of glass in the puff pastry well actually I had bitten into the glass.

I checked the remaining pastry and found another small piece wedged in the puff pastry. Luckily I don’t think DH or DC swallowed any so none of us have been physically harmed

Am I supposed to tell Tesco so they can recall the other products as someone else could also have glass in their pastry??

Yes. Absolutely. I'm assuming you purchased the pastry ready made from Tesco?

Try to retrieve the packaging so that you have the batch code /manufacturing info. Return it to Tesco with all the glass you found and ask them to have it sent off to their lab. (Maybe take photos for your own record)

In Waitrose this process is called Merchandise Complaints. They must have similar.

Ask to be informed in writing of the outcome.

PS do double check that you are absolutely certain that the glass did not originate in your own kitchen.
