Anybody watching Canada party in subzero temps?

Are they simply constructed differently?! So many threads on MN about turning the heating down to +16 etc and fear of cold, and those guys are in the street partying with Ottawalks. If it wasn't for the positive vibe, I'd be hypothermic simply watching.

Anybody else?

YES: They are bonkers and clearly constructed differently to everybody else
NO: they are bonkers and clearly constructed to everybody else (except Russians)

Having known several Russians, I obviously voted for the “except Russians” option. Also, I assumed “Yes” was “YABU” and “No” was “YANBU.”

It’s just better clothes. Lived there for 5yrs and got on with life in all sorts of temperatures.

This, I only lived there for a year, but people just get on with it. One day the snow was mid thigh deep and once I waded from my house to the pavement it was fine, bloody freezing, but fine!!

Not sure about Ottawa but in this bit of Canada it’s pretty dry, so it’s not a damp, bone chilling cold, like the U.K. If it’s not windy, it’s pretty tolerable down to about -15 or so.
