My boyfriend went out yesterday and asked me to pick him up at a certain time. I turned down plans so that I could pick him up but he ignored my texts and calls until hours after. He then phoned me drunk asking to pick him up hours after. Am I being the typical controlling girlfriend or do I have every right to be annoyed? This happens nearly every time he goes out and I’m so exhausted of being let down every time.

Just say no next time he asks you to collect him?

Erm no you are the very opposite of a controlling girlfriend. You are the one who’s being controlled, and it really confuses me as to why you can’t see that. He has you giving up plans and wasting your whole night waiting around for him ffs. Why do you think you should be at his beck and control? Tell him to get a fucking taxi and get on with your life.

Don't offer to pick him up again.
