Valentine's Card

First of all I'd say I do love my husband and we are now happily married.

However, we went through a rocky patch many years ago.

I'm also not very romantic.

Is it just me who struggles to find a valentines card that is realistic and not too soppy?

I don't want to send him one that says "to the best husband in the world" etc.

He's not and I'm not the best wife. We are just an ordinary couple!

My one says “there is no-one I would rather annoy more”. Truth.

We are not big on “romance” or Valentine’s, but are huge on small gestures all the time. Today he bought me some hot cross buns even though he hates them, and tomorrow he is going to get up so I can have a lie-in. I ironed his work shirts yesterday. So definitely no Hallmark moments.

Try Thortful

I was going to suggest Thortful, too. I got this one.

I got my DP one from the dog. The dog is his first love, I might as well acknowledge it!
It's a running joke.

There's usually something. Even if it just has a big heart on it. Or go for the humor ones. Or just don't bother.

Just don't send one!

We don't give cards on Valentine's Day! DH says he shows me he loves me in small ways all year, so sending a card on a made up holiday doesn't prove anything.

Just don't give him one? Say "I love you, thanks for putting up with me" and then have a nice meal or something?
