Who has an absolute dreaded fear of your foot or any body part touching swimming pool “drains” - the white grill things around the pool? Also the entire floor of the changing rooms.. I can’t take my kids swimming, I cannot have my bare foot tofu that floor but I’ve never met anyone else who agrees. It’s the thought of wet plasters, lingering veruca germs and the general stink. Am I alone?

You're not alone OP, I hate swimming pool floor areas. Bits of tissue, plasters and especially hair on the floor makes me want to heave. I haven't been to a pool in years but if I did go I'd have to wear flip flops to the pool side as I wouldn't be able to walk bare foot on the floor.

Yep. Makes me heave too. I tip-toe around anything as quick as I can, reminding myself I can wash my feet afterwards Smile

I'm afraid of slipping on the wet floor, so I bought some sock-type things from Amazon. I've seen a couple of people wearing actual socks - trainer socks

I find it disgusting but I still go swimming with my kids. My favourite pool doesn’t have any slides or waves but does have a very clean changing area. My kids’ favourite pool has slides and waves but the changing area is vile so we don’t go there as often!
