AIBU to eat a whole tub of halva by myself?

I barely eat so weight not an issue. But insulin resistance can happen from a a lot of sugar crashes, IIRC. I’m miserable as my father died this month, my mother died last year, and I couldn’t go see them and have so much guilt.

But AIBU?

There’s worse ways you could comfort yourself/self harm

It’s ok to do why you need to get through

Sorry you’re struggling xx

Thank you so much @SomePosters you’re very sweet. Just about as sweet as this halva! DP doesn’t understand how I can eat so much of it as he thinks it’s too rich. That’s very true, I did used to self harm in worse ways so this is not the worst. I tell myself there’s good nutrition in it 😃

If it helps Sesame Kingdom do some sugar free ones so you can snaffle away to your hearts content without worrying about your sugar levels Cake

I’m so sorry about your parents. I hope you can find a way to deal with your feelings about that. It certainly doesn’t need to involve guilt Flowers

@RoyKentsChestHair Ahaha thank you most kindly for the suggestion, I’ve never tried the sugar free ones! If it has sucrose or something like that, I get a funny aftertaste from those 😞 Have you ever tried the sugar free one?

Yea I tried them when I was doing low carb. I remember it being really nice - but I guess anything sweet at that point was welcome!!

RoyKentsChestHair · 09/02/2022 01:25

Honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the regular one and the sugar free

Excellent, thank you, I will try that next. I have a case of the sugary ones to get through currently, it was too good a price to pass!

Tell me about it, I love my carbs and potatoes but apparently all nightshades can be harmful, if eaten to excess (every day?) and gluten is harmful to health 😭

I only like poisonous things!

My mouth feels like glue just thinking about it! Unless it's a small tub obviously.

Do what you need to do to get past this bit really.

and it tastes really nice with white bread
