To bother the GP?

Not sure whether I should bother them or not with this.

I've been getting lots of small bruises recently. And I have genuinely no idea where I'm getting them. I don't do any sport or work in an environment where I may get bruised a lot!

I know it's typical to get bruises on your legs sometimes but I never used to get so many and I always could attribute them to bumping on this or that. They've also now started appearing on my forearms too.

I feel fine in myself and they aren't massive bruises or sore unless prodded. But they just seem to be springing up out of no where...

This is my calf today which is new and not bumped it to my knowledge, have similar on my thigh starting. Also have another starting on my forearm, again not big but not bumped either and the top of your forearms are surely not a common place to get bruised?!

To bother the GP?

Definitely get yourself a GP appointment, and a blood test.

Pantheon · 07/02/2022 20:43

Yes, go to the gp

LadyinRead · 07/02/2022 20:43

Yes, bother them. They will start by doing blood tests.

FusciasBright21 · 07/02/2022 20:43

Yes definitely worth seeing the GP!

I think it can be a sign of low platelets??

Thedogscollar · 07/02/2022 20:44

Yes I'd go and see your GP they can do blood tests to check your clotting factors.

Waddlegoose · 07/02/2022 20:44

I have low platelets and bruises which are from small bumps.

Definitely get a blood test as it could be related to platelets / low iron etc

mightbeyesmightbeno · 07/02/2022 20:48

Are you on any medication that can cause bruising?

rebeccachoc · 07/02/2022 21:44

Please do go, you won't be bothering them at all.

Yuckypretty · 07/02/2022 21:45
