Valentine’s Day at Baby Sensory

I’ve had the email to inform me that at baby sensory tomorrow we will be having a ‘love-in’, ‘slow dancing’ with our babies and are encouraged to wear the ‘colours of love’

WTF are we celebrating that with our babies for Confused

I’m almost at the end of my baby sensory experience, I will not be signing up for next term but I’m stubbornly refusing to bail out now I’ve paid for this one.

Looking forward to wearing my Bullet For My Valentine t-shirt tomorrow, and slow dancing to Careless Whispers with my probably completely perplexed five month old 😂

It's just a theme. If it's not for you, don't go.

SlyAvocado · 07/02/2022 19:57

Ooh ouch I forgot ‘lighthearted’

It's weird!!

Alfixn · 07/02/2022 19:59

It's just a bit of fun, the instructors are probably always looking for a bit of inspiration to change things up a bit, and you can hardly blame them really.
Not everything has to be taken seriously in life, least of all a baby sensory class!

Thatoldgumtree · 07/02/2022 19:59

Didn’t sound overly lighthearted tbh, it’s just a theme.

If it’s not your thing don’t go

PamelaDoov · 07/02/2022 19:59

The mental image of slow-dancing with babies has me rolling 😂😂
Definitely wear your BFMV tshirt to the Valentine’s Day baby ball

Yeah, I’m definitely not taking it seriously….

Wear the T-shirt, why does everything need to have "a theme" these days 🙄

OmgIThinkILikeYou · 07/02/2022 20:04

I think these places (and nursery and childminders etc) like to try and mix things up a bit and it makes sense to use the calander for inspiration. I also like it when ds does vday stuff as I love pink Grin

Just10moreminutesplease · 07/02/2022 20:05

My baby has always loved a slow dance, and a fast dance… basically any dance will do Grin.

Your overthinking it OP. The organisers need to come up with themes to stop it being too samey each week. Go and enjoy yourself, it’s not like you wouldn’t be cuddling your 5 month old anyway 🤷‍♀️.

pairsinparis · 07/02/2022 20:06

I thought exactly the same four years ago when my baby was at baby sensory classes. Utterly ridiculous. Then I cried when I slow danced with him to an Ellie Golding sound GrinGrinGrinGrin
