To hate house sharing

I am 33 and still house sharing because I can’t afford to buy somewhere on my own though I’m saving up for a deposit. It’s not that I don’t get on with my housemates because I do but I am just so desperate to live alone, to not have to make small talk with various housemates friends or significant others, and to just bloody do whatever I like. I don’t know how much longer I can do this for.

Yanbu I would actually hate living in one, I never have but I still know I would hate it.

I’m guessing you’re in London so can’t afford to rent somewhere by yourself? I only House shared for a couple of months and that was bad enough even though they were perfectly nice people.

What’s your financial plan? No chance of getting your parents to help with a deposit?

Sorry I don’t really have any ideas but I do sympathise.

Could you try renting a room rather than a house/flat-share? Tends to be cheaper.
Eg. My friend lodges in a 4 bed house and it's only her and the lady owner.

I house shared for years in my younger days and it can be absolutely shite. Could you move in with your family to save for a deposit? You may be able to pay your family less than what you're paying now. How is the saving going?
