How do you make the most of your weekends?

When you finish work on a Friday (if you don’t work weekends) how do you fully switch off and enjoy your weekends ? Do you feel you make the most of them? What do you get up to?

I really enjoy weekends. Plans differ, it's just the two of us this weekend but next weekend we're off to visit my sister and nephews. I have no problem switching off from work. In fact it's quite the opposite, I have more trouble switching back 'on' when I'm supposed to be working. Grin

Hop on the train and go to have sex with see my boyfriend.

Often longish walks (used to be 12 -15 miles, more like 6-8 at the moment though we are walking the Thames path 10 miles at a time).

Art exhibitions. Nothing takes me out of myself more.

Oh, when we don't have plans we mainly go for walks, out for meals or drinks, cook at home, watch films etc.

I am up very early at weekends so definitely make the most of them.

I make the most of them by taking advantage of the fact that DH is off work so can shepherd the toddler while I have a long bath/get a haircut/have a nap/ read and eat crisps.

In seriousness - we normally take it in turns to go to the cinema, have a walk somewhere local, stop off for a coffee, cook something nice. Nothing mind-blowing.

I don't really. I'm thinking of having swimming lessons. I have a glass of wine Friday / Saturday night. Sometimes we all go for a walk on Sunday. I read the Saturday papers. Do housework. Since covid we rarely go out for dinner to or to the cinema. DH is CEEV and still quite anxious.

I just want to be home at the weekends, enjoying my house and chilling doing my own thing I'll pop to the gym and go food shopping but best of all is just being at home. I like to be active so I'll be doing things at home or planning home related stuff. Covid has made me realise I'm an introvert. I never knew this about myself even though Im almost 50. Friends keep asking me to meet up but after a long week at work I just want to be in my own space at home. I can see longer term that this is going to cause issues with my friends
