Child’s birthday party payment

I’m looking to book my dds birthday party.. would most places accept a deposit and full payment closer to time of party? Would I be unreasonable to ask them to do this?

Most places do. I've paid between 50-100 deposit. Balance on the day. Means you can add the odd straggler/ sibling on the day. Rules may have changed with covid but just ask what their t& cs are.

Yes the normal pattern is that they ask you to confirm numbers a week before and pay the balance then.
