Hi. I live at home with my two children and I’ve tested positive for Covid. I have a partner but he doesn’t live with or near me. AIBU to drop my children off at school if I don’t leave the car?

I don’t know what else to do? I can drop them off at the school gates in the car (without leaving the car myself) I’d hate to keep them off for my isolation period and then they catch it and need further time off

YANBU
Plus school is full of covid, and you won’t be putting anyone at extra risk.

Thank you!
I’m still wfh and I have a team meeting in the morning (which runs over school run) so I can’t leave the meeting with my manager to take the kids to school, who has said I can’t take my children to school so I should call in sick if the kids are at home (or arrange alternative childcare, which I don’t have).
I’m not Ill enough to stay off but if I keep them at home I need to stay off according to her.
I’m not really sure what to do?!

How were they going to get to school if you hadn't had covid?

If I was wfh (which I have done until this week) I would have taken them. If I was in the office my 62 year old mum would have done a 30 mile round journey (which takes me ten mins to do if I’m at home)

I’ve worked a little over my shifts to make up for the time it takes me to take them to school
