To feel a bit sad.

Been out to lunch today with two friends. One has just had a baby, the other is getting married next year and pregnant. I'm single, have been for 2 years. Coming home to an empty house tonight after talking babies and weddings all afternoon has left me feeling sad. I'm so happy for both of them but I wish I had the same things too.

I’m sorry you feel sad
I think it’s ok and healthy to acknowledge those feelings. You can be happy for your friends and also sad for yourself

Sorry you're feeling down. I've been there with feeling like everyone's life had all these great things in it and mine didn't. And it's ok to be sad.

I was lucky though - even at the height of the baby stage my friends always asked about my life and celebrated whatever I had going on. I know not everyone is as fortunate.
