Question in the title sorry if I'm being unreasonable to ask. Interested to see how many clothes, nappies, food etc people took and how much luggage space they need

Will you have laundry facilities available?

tortiecat · 31/01/2022 19:37

Where are you staying? Hotel or self-catering place, and is there a supermarket close by? We took a trip at 7 months so very happy to advise, but will need a bit more detail.

Not much at all. Enough nappies for a couple of days, bought more once there. A pouch of food a day, the rest of the time they just shared our food. A few dresses, a few pairs of shorts, some t shirts and a uv swim suit thing. I think everything fitted in to a large nappy bag.

Hotel and no laundry facilities. Haven't booked yet but assuming the max needed

We took a whole suitcase for DD, for ll the formula, snacks, nappies, clothes etc. We packed twice as many nappies as we thought we would need, 1 outfit for each evening, and just loads of vests and shorts for the day and her swimming stuff.

We stayed in a hotel in the UK for a week when DS was 7 months.
We were able to drive and so we took
10 x vests
7 x long sleeved tops
3 x jumpers
7 x trousers
7 x pairs of socks
10 x sleepsuits (on the grounds that if he needed more than one outfit for the day he could always have one of these)
Shoes
Pramsuit
A pack of 50 nappies, an unopened pack of wipes
DS was breastfeeding but had been weaning for a month so 10 x pouches just in case, although he mostly ate with us when we we ate out
Bibs, spoons, cup - washing up liquid and sponge for our room to wash these
His bath
Pram
Sling
Small bag of favourite toys
Blanket for floor of hotel room

Hotel provided cot, high chair, towels.

We had far more clothes than needed but we didnt have to use the laundry facilities.

I would get a collapsible tub to go flat in the suitcase. Also take some washing powder in a ziplock bag. Tub can be used as a bath, hold all and washing tub. Some clothes pegs.

Small dishwashing liquid and sponge. Bottle brush perhaps. Milton tablets.

Basic first aid stuff.
