To think some MPs should be smarter

I was watching the MPs earlier and was completely distracted by how scruffy some are! Beside bojo and his mop, another MP with not only scruffy hair but dandruff or something like all over his jacket and anothers who looked so disheveled. How can you take them seriously when they don't take themselves serious enough to make an effort 'representing' their constituents.

I just expect them to perform their job well and honestly But that bar is clearly too low. But no, i don't expect them to tart themselves up.

I thought this was going to be about MP's intelligence levels. But I think most MPs look fine - a mixture, some really smart, some normal looking. It should be substance over style.

It's not what bothers me most about MPs frankly

Whilst I agree that MPs should look professional when I work, I have to pick up this comment.

If he has something like psoriasis then this may not be helped. I have psoriasis and for years had it all over my scalp. No amount of shampoo, creams, lotions, gels or washes would clear it. I hated the white flakes that would fall onto my clothes and felt really uncomfortable about it. I knew some one somewhere was likely to judge me, thinking it was because I didn't care enough to be better groomed.

Tbh their appearances is the least of our issues right now anyway.

Jacob Rees Mogg always looks very smart. He is however 100% not who I would want representing me.

I think there's a basic level of smartness (business smart) that's ok to expect, but beyond that - brains, decency and a moral compass are all I want to see. Sadly mostly absent at present on the government benches.

YABVU these people are drinking at all hours, taking Coke, having affairs... to be frank, its amazing they have the energy to even get out of bed.

They could have tattoos, piercings and a motorbike jacket for all I care as long as they can do their job, which the current lot definitely can't.

I’m more interested in whether or not they’re massive liars.

Have you seen Dorries's interview with Channel 4...
