I had issues with a noisy neighbour and I couldn’t take it anymore so I reported them to environmental health. I presume they spoke to them as the overnight noise stopped a few days later.
With our environmental health team you cannot make noise between 11pm-7am. Since the overnight noise has stopped they have started to make much louder noise on 7am on the dot.
Weekdays are fine as we are awake by then and the majority of people are going to work and school, but on a Sunday it is shocking behaviour to disturb people full stop never mind at 7am.
Technically they aren’t doing anything wrong as 7am begins as ‘unreasonable noise time’ but I’m so down because we’re not getting very much sleep and weekends are used to catch up after a long week at school and work.
I cannot prove they are doing it on purpose but it’s clear they are. I don’t know what to do because they’re not nice people and will not be quieter because I have asked them to. I don’t want to retaliate but I’m at the end of my tether now and just want peaceful mornings. Is there anything I can do?
