To ask how to recycle old panes of glass without having to go to a tip?

As per the subject. I've had a shed demolished and there were several window panes there which has been discarded by the previous owner of my flat. I live in S London.

I don't have a car so taking them to any specialist recycling place is not going to be trivial.

Any suggestions please?

Stick them on gumtree as free, someone probably has a use for them.

Yip gumtree or fb marketplace

As above or put them in two plastic bags, smash them carefully, and post them into the local bottle bank.

Does your local council have a large items collection service? Check their website. The council took away some large mirror panels which were on the front of fitted wardrobes put in by the previous owner of my house.

We used ours to put over our raised beds to create a greenhouse like effect. One of the local cats enjoyed it as a comfy place to rest when it was raining!
