Sorry, I’m posting here for traffic. I was following the thread about the son who was testing positive on the LFs and whether he should go to the football and it reached 1000 comments. Has a new thread been made?? I can’t find it and I need to know the outcome 😂.

I didn't see that thread, but my DS is at a football match this afternoon. At this point I couldn't care less whether the other spectators have positive tests. In the same way I don't care if anyone they live with has flu, chicken pox or any other communicable disease that is likely to be very minor for my DS if he gets it. I hope they went. Life needs to move on.

Interesting. Most people on the thread were saying similar things to you! I think people are fed up with it all. I just wish I knew if/where the follow up thread is

Hello - football mom here

My son tested negative again this morning so he went to the match. My DH still decided to drive there though just as an extra precaution.

They’re due home in the next hour (it’s a 4 hour drive away) and I can’t wait to hear about his day. My DH has sent me lots of photos and DS has the biggest smile on his face. I’m so glad his test was negative again this morning because otherwise I just wouldn’t have been able to let him go. My husband knew that so he also breathed a huge sigh of relief at the blank LFT.

So yes, they seem to have had an amazing time and he did eat

I’m still testing positive however so I’m still housebound and fed up of it
